How do you save a game in GTA3 for the PC?
I just played this game for 2 hours and had to quit because I could not save it. I don't see how to save in the instructions at all. Thanks in advance!

If it's the same as the PS2 version, you go in the door of your hideout, and you can save. During a mission, you can't save unless you complete the mission or fail it.

Scandal is right, follow the map to the purple house on the map and then walk in the door, you will then be presented with an option to save the game, if you're not in the middle of a mission that is.

BTW, does the PS2 have the same restriction on only 10 saves? I want enough saves so that I could go back and repeat any mission. That doesn't seem possible with the PC version.

Also, don't forget that you can stash 1 car in your personal garage when you save. Your hideout is also where certain powerups appear when you complete various side-missions.
First thing you should do before starting on any missions is become familiar with the town layout, and find good routes to your hideout and to the pay-n-spray from anywhere in town. Knowing where to find some police bribes is handy, too.
When you're not on a mission, your hideout appears as a purple house on the radar, as has been mentioned. There's a floating information icon by the door of the hideout.
