Is this the sequel to the game where you go around killing people, lighting them on fire with molotov cocktails, etc from a 3rd person perespective a la Diablo?
I loved the original Postal, although it was a bit short and didn't have much replay value.

It's funny that I have mixed feelings about this article. I'm a huge anti-censorship advocate and I myself have gleefully gunned down pedestrians and stolen vehicles in Grand Theft Auto 3.
But reading this article made my stomach upset. I feel that there's a certain level of un-reality present in GTA3 that would be missing in this game. I can't believe that I even feel this way.
Also, it seems that releasing these kinds of games is slightly dangerous to the video game community at large, as it would certainly stoke the fires of the anti-gaming and pro-censorship groups.
On the other hand, it is a PC game that probably has a little more limited influence than a game released on, say, the PS2.
Just my thoughts!
"One of those Diablo scumbags is pimping his scuzzy b* in my territory!"

The game sounds kinda funny, but very disturbing at the same time.
I mean, the whole 'use the cat as a silencer, but only works 9 times' seems pretty funny. But the whole idea behind the game is to set up situations to make you pissed off and feel like the best thing to do would be to burn a teller or something.
I think it's too extreme.

I bought the original Postal when it came out. I remember being shocked at all the screaming victims. When you would wound them they would crawl around screaming "Kill me, Kill me". I could only take so much of it. Actually after a while you tend to block it out. Maybe that should worry me? I will probably end up getting the sequel

I'm not too worried about the content. Yeah, at heart I wish only pain and suffering for the entire human race, and maybe I'm desensitized, but I have a pretty healthy ability to separate fantasy from reality.
This isn't going to be rated E for everyone (the publishers should really push the retailers to keep those ratings meaningful for the benefit of future gaming), and unless it's FMV of snuff video everytime you kill someone, I don't think a little cartoonish violence is going to hurt anyone.
Just my opinion.
