Eternal Darkness $29.96 at Walmart.com

Preorder Eternal Darkness for $29.96 at:

www.walmart.com

Saw this over at the IGN.com boards. I've never ordered from Walmart.com before, so I have no idea how their service is...

I wasn't going to get this, but for that price I can't pass it up. It will probably go on ebay for more than that if I don't like it. Thanks.

I've seen rumors that all Nintendo (1st party) games are going to be dropping to $29.99. If you only want it to sell on Ebay you might want to hold off...

No. As I said, it will only go on ebay if I don't like it.

$30? No way! There's something really wrong about that... Either this game has turned out to be garbage, or Nintendo has really slashed first party titles to $30. I'm not preordering anything until I find out a little more about this.

The quality of the game is not likely to affect the price; Universal Studios was still $50. Either Walmart has advanced word of the price cut, or this is a misprice...which has been known to happen to online retailers on occasion.

Nothing has been formally announced yet, but it is believed that ALL companies are going to slash game prices sometime during E3.

If they do not, do not expect that ED price to stay the same even if you buy it. That is just my opinion though.

I picked it up. If its a mistake great, but if Nintendo is dropping prices on first party games to $29.99 I'm going to own a lot of Game Cube games.

Wow! Thanks. Eternal Darkness is the 3rd game in the bundle I paid for at Electronics Boutique on launch day. After the Eternal Delay, I hope it will be worth the wait. I guess EB is gonna have to give me another game.

It's not working for me. It says 29.96 on the site, but when I add it to my cart it changes the price to 49.96.

They have changed all the prices on the first party Nintendo stuff back to $49.96. Hopefully, they will honor the price. If it was a mistake I would think that Wal-Mart of all companies could afford to take the loss.

Grrrr....Walmart.com did this exact same thing a couple of weeks ago when they marked all their gamecube games down to $29.96. By the time I checked it a few hours later they had marked them back up to $50.

I don't know who's messing with the site it but if I find out who they're getting a serious beating

Still...I can't wait for this game.....just a little longer.

Anyway is there anyone out there that has any advanced papers? It was sweet getting Resident Evil for $39 new, I hope it happens again.

I'm glad this turned out to be nothing. I prebought this (paid the full balance) at EB last month and would have been pissed if it had been available for full $20 less than I paid given that I am currently strapped for cash.

Mine too, can't wait to get this game. Since the game price drop rumors turned out not to be true this is a really great deal.

oh well. I wouldn't have been able to get in on it when this was originally posted anyway as I was camping that week.

Plus I'll be playing ED for several days while you guys are waiting for it to come in the mail.

(actually I'd have rather saved the $ and I'm just trying to make myself feel better for missing the deal. )

I'm a fool. I didn't get in on this deal because I was certain Wal-Mart would just cancel those orders, but the game comes out in less than a week and they haven't done it yet.

Damn it, damn it, DAMN IT!

I called Walmart today and they don't know how much it's going to cost, so there still might be some hope.

If they haven't cancelled it by now I doubt they will. There were a lot more games than Eternal Darkness on sale for $29.96 when that deal was found. Pretty much all of the Nintendo first party games were $29.96 at the same time and a few PS2 games were on sale as well. I'm betting it was a limited time sale and not a mistake by Wal-Mart. I can't wait to get my hands on this game.
