The last section of the last level of MoH:AA = Worst level design of any game EVER

The last section of the last level of MoH:AA single-player is the worst excuse for a level that I've ever seen in any game. If you're playing single player mode on the hardest difficulty level, stop now before you beat yourself over the head at how incredibly stupid the last part is.

Stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid.

Did I mention that it is horrible?

Any specific grievances?

I liked it.

The rest of the level was good. It was just the very last section where

Spoiler:

You start in the building as its blowing up, you turn and there is a guy to your left and one in the cage behind him. You have to run outside while the building is blowing up, where there are five guys waiting on the ground for you and three snipers in the towers. If you stop while shooting them, the building blows up and you die. You have to shoot the two guys inside, then shoot each of the five guys and hope they stay stunned and/or die so that they don't shoot you, then hope the snipers don't shoot you while you run onto the train.

This is on the hardest difficulty setting. Its probably not as much of a crapshoot on other difficulty settings.

The whole last mission, and indeed the whole second half of the game, pretty much sucks. I stopped playing with just one level left to go and I don't even feel like going back to finish the game.

Oh, yeah! I remember that being a "run your ass off and cross your fingers" level. I guess since there isn't really a big boss, they just wanted to ramp up the difficulty.

I liked the last level okay, but the ending was like a corporate thing or something- I mean they should have at least had a final cut scene or something to cap it off.

I'm all for difficulty, but its too much blind luck in this spot. Skill isn't the determining factor.

Also from a realism standpoint, it is extremely silly. The fort is blowing up and two guys stay behind for certain death to try and kill one person whose mission is already successful, thus making it irrelevant to the success of the fort whether he is killed immediately or not? Also, the five guys immediately outside the door at the start are running into the fort as it blows up. Bleh.

There is a little cheap trick you can pull to survive that last section (atleast on medium difficulty...i don't see why it wouldn't work on hard). There is a little crevice you can jump down in and crouch within between the platform and the train, you have to take out the one sniper that can still shoot at you, but everyone else can't hit you. Then you just wait there for 30 secs or so and the train will open up and your buddies will kill off everyone for you. Thus, just run like hell through the midst of bad guys waiting outside and jump into that little crevice, take out the sniper, and wait. Takes too much luck in this section I agree.

That's why I didn't play single player game.... yet. But I rather play multiplayer.

Is this a common problem other people have seen? If not, what I'd do is make a copy of your saved game, them wipe the program and reinstall it.
