So...seen any Spider-man reviews yet? (any platform)

I am trying to decide whether to pick this up this week but I have yet to find any true reviews...just previews. Has anyone read anything yet on the gamplay, sound, etc. yet? I have seen the stills from various sites & the graphics look awesome.

I would be purchasing the Xbox version but since they are all going to be pretty similar, I am interested in hearing reviews for any of the consoles.

I'm going to purchase the PC version since Best Buy will have it on sale for $19.99 as opposed to the console versions that are $49.99.

Hey, I was all set on buying the XBox version until I saw the ad in today's paper.

Saving $30 is worth forgoing the extra levels in the XBox version.

Just a heads up. I was buying some Kellogg's cereal yeasterday, and to my surprise there was a mail away offer for Spider-man on PC. All you needed was two proofs of purchase from any Kellogg's cereal and a receipt showing you bought 2 gallons of milk (any brand). This is the full version of Spider-man and you don't have to pay shipping or anything.

Now, the only thing is...I can't tell from the pictures if its the original spider-man game that was on PS1, Dreamcast, and PC or if its the NEW Spider-man the movie game. Either way, its free, I don't have either of the games, and I want to play them.

Hope this was helpful.

I am guessing that it is the older version. They probably would not give away the new version coming out this week.

I haven't seen any reviews up anywhere yet, but when I get the game I will be writing a review for the PS 2 version for www.game2extreme.com

I'm still going to get the X-Box version even though it is $30 more expensive. I found the PC version of the original Spider-Man game produced by Activision to be inferior to both the earlier PSX game (other than graphics) and the later Dreamcast version. I have a feeling the graphics may suffer along with everything else this time around.

I would expect major site reviews by Wednesday (possibly Tuesday night).

kind of a review. These are for the almost finished game and are dated April 3. I had no idea Bruce Campbell narrated this game. It just keeps getting better folks.

I just pre-ordered one for the XBox at Funcoland. It should be in by Wednesday 4/17. I'll let you know if I plan to sell it. Hehehehe...

It is shipping today, although some people may be lucky enough to pick it up later today. I would expect most to get it tomorrow.

Just a quick correction...

That Gamespot link is a "preview" not a review.

I'm still deciding which one to get (I have all consoles and a pretty stacked PC).

The 5.1 on the Xbox and extra levels might be worth it (and playing it on a big screen is nice).

If they throw in any extras on the PC version, I may pick it up also.

There is a review from OPM on Gamers.com. They gave it a 9, so it must have gotten 4 1/2 out of 5 discs. This is the PS2 version only.

Also of note is that Gray Matter handled the PC version and not Treyarch for those that are on the fence about the cheaper PC version. Hopefully have my X-Box version tomorrow and get to play it.

thanks fox, I have been waiting for the first review to show up. It looks great so far. Sound isn't as big an issue to me as gameplay and then graphics. This review made me think I will really enjoy this title. I know my 6 year old will. I think I will call in late to work tomorrow and go find it. Then I will come home and play it till I call in sick.

It looks as if they took it off of Gamers.com. I saw it last night and should have cut and pasted it. Maybe they will have it back up later *shrug*.

I saw it, they said it was good, but the sound was subpar and that there are a few little things that keep it from being the best superhero game ever. I am on my way to EB to pick it up right now.

So far I'm really enjoying this game. At what level do you get the new spiderman suit?

Several people who have picked up the X-Box version have very positive things to say about it:

I plan to pick it up yet this week taking advantage of the Best Buy $10 gift card deal...

I have the PS2 version and it is great. My girl came over last night so I couldn't devote the night to it, but even she said this is her new favorite game. The graphics are good, Bruce is awsome and spidey(toby) is very witty. It is so much fun I have to go play it right now.
