Konami Arcade Classics GBA - Opinions?

Has anyone picked up the Konami Arcade Classics collection for the GB Advance? The games interest me, but reading an interview with the producer worries me. The games are not emulated, and they changed the music on Frogger (!). Some lame reason about tying in to a new Frogger game, but I don't see the point in changing music/sounds on a classic game when the whole point is a copy of the original. And it wasn't a case of changing the music on the new version of the game, they changed it on the classic emulated game.

Anyone try the pak out? Worth the $$?

You Might Want This!

I just got this collection. I remember reading about how they were going to add things to the games. I thought they would be emulated and just have additional options. Oh well. Frogger is only slightly different. The music is different and it gets hard right after the first level. Time Pilot seems to be very much the same. Rush 'n Attack has some different things (you get a flame thrower right on the first level (and it's easier). Gyrus is pretty close to the original (music seems a little different).

Where's Pooyan? (it was on the Playstation Konami collection). I'd take that one over that kung fu game.

Overall, I like it. But I just thought these games would be more fun. It's not bad for $30.

Waiting for the Atari Collection!!!

Doesn't sound promising.. And if they changed the music in Gyrus also, WTF.. That was one of the best aspects of that game. Overall it seems like this is an OK pak from what you describe, but I might just save my $$.

The Atari one should be great, it's done by Ditigal Illusions and they are top notch and always do emulation whenever possible (as opposed to copying the look and feel manually).
