Ok people, with Resident Evil (GCN) coming out in a few months, and with the movie doing somewhat well in the theaters, Ive been doing a lot of thinking about Resident Evil 4. I know that RE 0 is the closest we will get to a "new" Resident Evil adventure, but I can't help but wonder what is in store for us as gamers, and fans of this great series. Code:Veronica as most do not know is not part 4, in fact it has been stated ( in GameInformer magazine) that Devil May Cry was originally supposed to be RE 4. From what I understand the monster design is what led to that choice. The mosters were not based in bio-technology. They were more demonic. The initial scenario was to take place on a boat, and this adventure centered around an Umbrella agent. As to whether this is solid infor or just rumor-mill bs is hard to say. Seeing as how the boat scenario has popped up in another Resident Evil adventure for the GameBoy color called: Resident Evil: Gaiden. For those of you who dont know about this title it centers around Leon Kennedy, and Barry Burton. Upon completing RE:Nemesis we get to find out what happened to the main characters, Jill, Chris, Barry, Leon, Claire, Ada, Hunk, and Sherry Birkin. No one knows what has become of Wesker, and no one does until Code:Veronica.

I always envisioned RE 4 to bring in all the characters, and have you switch between all of them while investigating Umbrella. As we found out in Code:Veronica Wesker is working for another organization. You have to wonder if this series will end at 4, or will it continue on and on and on without an end? Well all theories and wishes may be posted here .

I can only hope that 4 will be a big reunion of all the characters. I think Rebecca Chambers will be making her return in the sequels. I believe Biohazard 0 was supposed to re-introduce her since new players and veterans either forgot about her or never knew her. When Res. 4 became Devil May Cry they postponed Biohazard 0. Now with the remake of Res. 1 and Biohazard 0 coming out it'll be the perfect time to bring her back into the current series. I'm guessing Res. Gaiden is also supposed to inject Leon and Barry back into the storyline, but not have much impact in the main storyline.

My guess is that we'll be seeing who or what Wesker works for and what organization Leon joined. The main characters will be broken into 2 teams. One led by Chris who will be going after Wesker. The other will be led by Leon who will still be going after Umbrella. I'm guessing they'll make a discovery about the T-Virus and that it may be demonic in nature. Which coincides with Wesker's newfound powers and the supernatural nature of Alexia at the end Code: Veronica.

Oh yeah, just wanted to add the character in Resident Evil: Survivor. I wonder if he'll be integrated into the main storyline. If so I assume they'll run into him during the course of 4 and he'll join the fight in some way.

Good insight, but I'm curious about one thing. At the end of Wesker's report he made it clear that he and his orginization have Sherry Birkin. he said and I qoute

"I would never underestimate Birkin...Theres something about this little girl..."

What exactly is he talking about? The mere thought gives me chills. And I guess it would be cool to see the Gun Survivor character given a better role. I thought the story was interesting, but the gameplay left me feeling i dunno ugly.
