Project Gotham help
Anyone have any good tips for Project Gotham Racing?
Not cheats, but tips on how to get more kudos, how the scoring system works (combos?) and which cars are best for slides etc.
Any help would be appreciated, I've kind of hit a wall on how many kudos I can get on some of the arcade races (750 or so) so I know there are better ways than just a powerslide at every corner. Thanks

I have been having trouble eracking up the Kudos too; although I just surpassed 50,000 this weekend. Previously I had been using the Skyline almost exclusively and just running full gas most of the race. I seem to rack up more Kudos with just speed and clean lines and only sliding when it happens to work out. Speed helps to link the Kudos together and build them up quicker, but you have to ensure that you do not hit the wall and lose the whole stash. Also, the Lotus seems like it might be a real good Kudo maching if I can learn to go fast and clean through corners.

Wait until you get better cars... e.g. the Exige and the Viper... to get golds in the Arcade races.
In the meantime, get golds in the Quick Races and advance in the Kudos Challenges.
When you get the right cars for earning Kudos, you have to swerve left and right in areas where there are no cones to keep sliding and the combo going.
In the Easy Arcade races, it will eventually be possible to combo the entire track... then bank the kudos at the end for 5000+ kudos..

I've got up to the Focus Cosworth opened with mostly silvers on the arcade races. I heard that PGR works kind of like Tony Hawk in that you can do combos and get multipliers that increase that the Kudos you have not "banked" yet.
I haven't been able to figure out how it calculates the mulitplier bonuses though. I'll do a slide and go on to wheels (which gets a multiplier, I think x2) but I'll only get an additional 4 kudos or so not double my kudo score. This is the part I haven't figured out.
Also, to get a good slide and fishtail going do you hold or just tap the Emergency brake? Also do you let off then jump right back on the gas or stay on it while you hit the E-brake?
Thanks

I use the handbrake and accelerate out of a wide corner to get kudos.. you have to make sure you're under control or you'll hit a railing or a cone.
For straight-a-ways, I don't use the brakes at all, I occasionally accelerate and swerve enough so that the car slides and the kudos accumulate until I get to the next cone or corner.
As for how the Kudos are calculated, it depends on the number of "tricks" in the combo. Once you accumulated around 200 "unbanked" Kudos, you should have a lot of tricks (slides, cones, speed gates, etc) and the multiplier really starts to ramp up.
I'm up to 173,000 Kudos... working towards 200,000 for the F50...
