Tiger Woods vs Hot Shots 3, TP vs High Heat
I am having a heck of a time trying to decide which golf game and which baseball game to buy this year.
I have heard that Tiger Woods has dramatically improved on last years, but I loved hot shots golf 1 and 2 for the PSOne
The only baseball games i have owned for Ps one and Ps 2 are the Triple Play games, but last years version was a minor disappointment.
So, anybody have any suggestions or recommendations
I could always rent them, but I would rather have my friend by them for me at Electronics Boutique and then return them within 10 days..lol
Thanks

I imagine that comparing Tiger Woods and HS3 is like comparing Madden and Blitz. One takes a more simulated approach while the other is more arcade-like. I haven't played either game yet, but I've heard really good things about HS3, and that is the game that I'm going to buy this weekend.
As for TP and High Heat, High Heat has drastically improved their presentation from past installments. Both games are pretty decent, but I would go for High Heat.

i play on trying and most likely buying HSG3 very soon, but i would certainly recommend Tiger Woods 2002. This game is incredible as far as i'm concerned and you will NOT be disappointed purchasing it. Lethal is right though......although they are both golf games, they each have a completely different approach to the game with arcade vs. simulation.

I think it is a mistake to immediately assume that HS3 is more "arcade" like. I'd say that the physics engine is at least as good as the one in TW '02, if not better. The revised swing meter is definitely worth taking a look at in the TW game, and I like the fact that a few of the courses are "real" but the course design in this version of HS so far seems to be extremely good, much better than in the other 2 versions. I have both, and so far, I've been going back more frequently to HS3.
As for the baseball choice, I don't think that ASB '03 can hold a candle to ACTUAL gameplay provided by HH '03. Aside from that, the additional features, graphics, career tracking and general "extras" favor ASB '03. Again, for a brief time, I had both, and consistently went back to HH '03. It just feels more like baseball, and for that sport, I think that is by far the most important attribute...

Thanks, I went to Blockbuster tonight and i was shocked to see that they had plenty copies of each of these games, so I took a gamble and rented HS3 and HH..
I appreciate all the input from everyone.

I am currenty enjoying Hot Shots 3, but it is mostly a big graphical improvement. There really isn't a lot of changes that I have noticed except the shopping with points. But still a worthy game, and am glad I picked it up, except there is no minigolf.

I bought Hot Shots Golf 3 today and am having fun with it thus far. I've mostly just messed around in multiplayer with my cousin, but I can't wait to start unlocking everything in the game. I've never played the previous versions of HSG, so this is a new golf experience for me. Pretty good game.

OK..i picked up HSG3 and love it. I basically played a bunch of courses trying to unlock all the characters right away. The game takes a little getting used to the putting but once you get the hang of it, its great. Very fun to play, although at times the caddy's can get a little annoying
I still would say this game is more arcade/cartoon style whereas TWG2002 is more of the simulation game. I love the new way of swinging in TWG2002 with the analog stick and I hope future golf games pick this up too. If you could get both games then do so cause I'm certainly glad I did, but if i had to pick one of them I would go with TWG2002.
