InterAct's 16x for GameCube and S-Video switch

InterAct's 16x for GameCube and S-Video switch
Looking for personal experience with these specific products, please.
I'm wary of 3rd party equipment but IGN gave the 16x a nod in their review of ASB 2003 for the Cube. With the SD Memory nowhere in sight this seems to be the only option outside of buying 5 Nintendo cards (which ain't happening).
If anyone has news about the SD Memory, let me know.
As for the S-Video Switch, I've read some sketchy reviews.
BTW, I have InterAct's S-Video cable for the cube and I'm very happy with it.
