Gamecube High Scores
This may need to evolve into a One and Only High Scores for any game thread, but for right now I'm interested if anyone can top this one.

The way to get high scores in target is to land on the little yellow buoys in the water - i honestly suck really bad at it but i have a friend who can peg those things like it's nobodys business. It also helps a lot if you get enough bananas to get the magnetic ball powerup until you get good at it. Now he can just be the baby monkey get the 3x score powerup and land on the little buoys and get crazy high scores - i won't play with him anymore
for 10 rounds i've seen him get a little over 4,700.

Items and buoys are the key. On my top round, I used the x3 item and hit the buoy twice, once on round 2 and again in round 5. Get bananas, hit buoys.

The trick to landing on the 'buoys' is using the wind to your advantage. I know when I first started the wind was annoying but now the wind is my friend. You want to head for the 'buoys' into the wind, that way it slows you down a bit so you don't roll a lot.
1. Start out using the magnet ball to hit them. No worries about rolling.
2. Once you can do that start using the brake ball - you roll a little bit when you land.
3. When you have that mastered try landing with no help. Start out flying into high winds (15+). These slow you down quite a bit. You want to try to come into the landing as vertical as possible, so start high.
