Sounds good. PS2 really understands progression of games. I can't wait for the Gamecube to have online games....oh wait Shigeru Miyamoto "attributes the philosophical problems, extra costs, hassles, network outages, and system lags as reasons why he is not high on online gaming. " Ok I also remember him saying that CD's are for movies and he's not interested in making movies. Shigeru Miyamoto is awesome with games....but sometimes he says the craziest ****. I think he's more interested in making cute cartoons games.

Nintendo was the last to jump into CD's …so, I'm worried that the fate of online gaming with GC will also follow the similar path.

COME ON NINTENDO BE THE LEADER IN THE GAME INDUSTRY AND PAVE THE WAY FOR OTHER GAME SYSTEMS AND TRENDS! (and i'm not talking about pokemon when i said trends haha)

Anyway…good night all!

It'll be interesting to see if people accept this and buy it for $100 or whatever. Console periphials have generally been shunned in the past. I'm not sure how that will change now...

The big exception, in Japan, was the PC-Engine CD-ROM. Not only was the CD-ROM upgrade to the HuCard successful, the upgrade to the upgrade sold very well too (the Super CD-ROM moniker, which is really a 2MB RAM in the form of a HuCard).

Looks like August is the target for the PS2 Online. No mention of a hard drive/network adapter combo unit, though. Just modem/ethernet combo unit for around $40. Not too bad.

$40 ain't bad but....

I still want a hard drive and what if I already have a cable modem at home? My modem has dual ports, one USB and one RJ-45 so that I can hook up two computers to it. So can I just use the USB on my pS2? I hope they don't screw this up.

The Linux kit comes out May 22nd, and since that is a hard drive and ethernet card so it shouldn't take to long after that for the game one.
