Eternal Darkness shouldn't be delayed again

from www.planetgamecube.com:

Eternal Darkness: Progress Report

What’s the status? We asked Denis Dyack, President of Silicon Knights that very question.

According to the man himself, Eternal Darkness is on track and should have no further delays. “We’re working very hard on it, and it’s coming along very well.” Dyack said.

I asked him if there could be any chance that Eternal Darkness could be delayed again, and Denis said, “Everything is currently on schedule for the June release.”

Denis couldn’t really comment further about Eternal Darkness.

Planet GameCube will have more about Eternal Darkness in the coming months.

I'm looking forward to this one. Hope it doesn't get delayed, but I just want it right. I would think WWF Raw would have taught everyone a lesson about rushing games through developement.

Sad thing is WWF Raw was supposedly not rushed. They just wanted to get a good foundation with the engine down and make you pay another $50 for the full-featured version next year. Too bad the engine isn't that great either.

Don't worry, I think it WAS in fact rushed. I gave this game a horrible review on the site I do reviews for. They wanted to emulate the AKI/Asmik blueprint so much, but they changed the blueprint too much and ruined the game from an engine point of view. I agree that Anchor's engine works for UFC but not for WWF. The stupid stamina bar crap was idiotic and even the advantage meter was dumb...but maybe that is just me.
