C&C: Renegade and ST: Bridge Commander

Just wondering if anyone picked up either of these titles for PC yet? How are they? They are both on sale at Best Buy this week and was planning on getting one of them.

Actually i'm curious to hear what people think of C&C:R - the multiplayer demo was kind of laggy, buggy, and not too great of graphics - was wondering if they got the problems corrected by the time it went gold....

I got this from Compusa today for $29.99 with free C&C Tiberian Sun. I liked it a lot. All i can describe is that, imagine that you are playing C&C(strategy mode) and imagine that you are seeing it from a 1st person mode. I think its cool but then again, everyone is different.

I really like the multiplayer aspect of Renegade...I must have played about 25-30 games this weekend. Of all the games that I played, lag was noticeable in about 3 or 4 of them. This is the first time that I have played a game that uses a ladder point system, so I'm constantly checking out my ranking. My wife thinks I'm nuts.

I can't really comment on the single player aspect of the game because I haven't really spent that much time with it.

I'm thinking about forming a clan...I looked at the requirements for joining various Renegade clans, but they were not for me. Maybe I'm just an oddball, but I play games to have fun. I don't want to have to worry about getting kicked out of a group because I missed a game or I didn't have time to practice with the other team members. So, if anyone wants to get together and kick some butt online in the spirit of good will and fun, let me know!

though I am a ST fan, I have NEVER played a Star Trek game. Don't know why, just never have. I have heard good things about this new Bridge Commander game so I'm d/ling the demo now. I figure I'll give it a try and see how it plays. If anyone else is interested http://www.bridgecommander.com/indepth/bcdemo.htm

Well, I picked up C&C Renegade at Best Buy and it's pretty cool. Not quite as good as Medal of Honor but a very enjoyable game with a different perspective on the FPS. For only getting through a couple levels so far I'd recommend the game.

As for Trek games, the best one I ever played was Elite Force. Ironic that the worst Trek series (IMO) produced the best game. It's based off of the Quake 3 engine so it's still pretty current even though it's been out over a year now. If you've never played a Trek game I'd really suggest you give that one a chance.

I think I'll wait awhile on Bridge Commander. I'll pick it up in a week or 2 when I finish Renegade.
