Anyone have an opinion on 18 Wheeler?
This game is coming this week for the GC. I have yet to see a review for it on any console. Has anyone played it? How are the graphics, controls, sound? I think it would be cool if you could run over stuff in one of those big trucks.

IGN gave the PS2 port a 5.5

Gamespot gave the PS2 port a 6.3

As for me, I bought the DC version for 10 bucks. It's not worth any more than that.

I like the game specially when they ask you to do some special activities like parking the trailer or driving it in narrow spaces. I'll bet you will be spending tons of time with it!!

I've played the DC version of the game a little. It's fun at first because of the novelty, but there's not much there. What would be cool is if they took this same idea but made it into a cross-country trip/adventure. If you rent it, you'll have fun...but if you buy, you'll cry.

I have it for DC. I like it, but you have to realize it's an arcade port. It's not particularly deep. Still, it's fun, even if you can't run over much (most things are outside the "track").

It's awesome but so short. You can beat it in one night, so rent it.
Also, does anyone know if Sega will ever release the Emergency Call Ambulance game for any system? That game rocks!

I would say that for those with a Driving Force or GT Force wheel (both by Logitech) for the PS2, it is a good get.
It supports the forcefeedback wheels very well and the effect is quite good.
For 29.99 a decent (if short) game.
Also, the PS2 version has WORSE graphics than the DC version (poor draw distances and quite alot of shimmer - still very FUN).

I bought this for the DC when it first came out and it is definitely not worth full price. I had a few friends over and we were all surprised when we reached the end of the game in about 2 hours. It's fun but it's not worth $50.

I've played the DC version and offer this comment. If you though Crazy Taxi was fun for more than a week, then you'll probably like this game too. If Crazy Taxi got old fast, then I'd just rent 18 Wheeler.
