Hmm.
Craig over at IGN does not seem to have had a pleasant experience:

Now, not because I am a friend of Adam's, but because I believe in the project, I would like to comment on a couple of Craig's opinions based on my expereince's in watching Adam.
1. The washed out look is present. With the light on in a darkened area. If it is turned off, in light you would normaly use (desk lamp, sun, bathroom) the GBA still looks the same as before.
2. When I talked to Adam today, he seemed to have come up with a simple way to help eliminate dust, etc., increasingly the ease of keeping it off while installing. I think he plans on emailing this out or posting once the forums on his site go live.
So, I still plan on doing a full review with my own GBA. These are opinions so far. However, one thing I seem to see is some people's expectations are WAY too high, almost as if they expect this to look like a backlit system. I see it this way, you can still see your GBA the same way as always with the right light. BUT, now you can also see it in the dark with slight decrease in color vibrantness.
I can not wait to see what everyone else's opinion is though. I have only myself, the creator of the mod and a few select people to go off of. The true test comes with everyone who will be installing one.
EDIT: Oh yeah, Tycho at Penny-Arcade got his today, so hopefully he will have impressions up tomorrow.

If soemone at IGN, who has taken apart his GBA multiple times, has that much trouble with the kit, there is a major problem. I'm guessing those forums Adam is going to get up are going to be flooded with angry customers.
I belived in the project, but now I feel kinda of worried that the quality of lighting and ease of installation that Adam led us to believe is just not true.
