Midnight Club question

How realistic is the New York representation in Midnight Club for PS2? I'm addicted to GTA3 and would love to drive in an NYC game environment.

I was under the impression it was very realistic. I've never been to NYC, but I know that I'll often see areas in movies or on television that I've driven around in in Midnight Club. Keep in mind though, it's only lower Manhattan.

It's an ok game overall, but it is one of the release titles, so don't expect too much.

What do you mean "It's one of the release titles"?

I didn't realize it's only lower manhattan. Still, eBay's got it pretty cheap. One of these days I want a real accurate NYc game with Brooklyn and Queens. I just imagine playing it with NYC friends. "No, no! Don't take the West Side Highway! Traffic is a nightmare!"

Well, I thought it was one of the games released when the system first game out. It was the first game I owned, but I didn't own any PS2 games for my PS2 (bought at launch) for about four months. At any rate, it's one of the early titles, and at times it shows. It doesn't even begin to compare graphically with titles like GTA3, and I think that game is a bit lacking in graphics as well. To be honest though, I think a lot of the engine for GTA3 came from Midnight Club. The two games play remarkably similar when you're in the car.

In the end, I got my money's worth out of it. If I could pick it up cheap and didn't already have it, I'd buy it again. However, if you're not much of a racing fan, the game isn't going to appeal to you.
