No honestly, this game, when you reach the Platnum Cups is Fataly Fast. I've never been so close to having a sezure in my life. Res gets me pretty close, but not as close as XG3 with a maxed out bike.

yeah, this is an awesome game. probably not worth $50 but definately worth at least $30 or $35 if you can find it for that.

I nabbed this for $19.99 from buy.com during xmas

From the music to the graphic style, it reminds me of Wipeout XL. I guess this will do until Wipeout Fusion comes out on PS2.

I rented this for my Gamecube and wasn't that impressed. I preferred the old weapons setup. Glad you like it though.

XG1 was similar.
XG2 was carp, you moved way tooo slow.
XG3 is the fastest paced game I know of, if anyone knows something faster, or as fast paced, leme know Please.

Its kinda slow on the early cups.
But once you get the 1500cc Engine its almost too fast to mentaly keep up with.

Its kinda cool to spend a whole lap on the other side of the sound berrier.

It's $18 at Sam's Club. I might have to pick it up if it's that good.

If you haven't played Wipeout XL (PSX), it is definitely worth checking out, because of the tracks, music, and artwork. I feel the CPU in Wipeout XL plays more like humans, in that the CPU players will wait and then screw you over with well placed missle launches or bounce you into the sides of the track.

When you hit the turbos/afterburners, it does get up there in speed, though not as fast as XG3.

The game is paced well enough that you'll really want to get to the next league to check out the competition. And the last track is a challenge!

Wipeout 3 is a stinking turd. Poor menu design, boring tracks, race vehicles feel too "floaty".

The disc is worth it for the music, bunch of tracks by Sasha, Paul van Dyk, etc. Great driving music!
