What game or system was most ahead of its time?

I would have to say Atari. It was a succesful system, had a giant library of games, and pretty much pioneered software develoment and home entertainment. Before Atari you either shelled out big buck for the Oddysey(I think that was how it was spelled) or had to hit the Arcade.
Its not the years, its the mileage.

But seriously, if anyone remembers the Odyssey game system, it was leaps and bounds past the Atari and out for a few years before the Colecovision came out.
