I hope Capcom brings their Street Fighter series to the Cube. Nintendo hasn't had a fightiing game in a long time.
Too bad the Gamecube controller isn't really ideal for fighters, though. Playing SF on that controller would be pretty horrendous.

Are Capcom's 2D fighters all that popular anymore? Regardless, SSB:M, Soul Calibur 2, and hopefully Powerstone 3 are all I'll need for a good long while.

Resident Evil Preview at IGN (you don't have to be an insider to read this).
From the article:
"Everyone must be surprised because [the Biohazard series is now] on the GameCube, but I have a clear and strong opinion about being able to enjoy all of the Biohazard games on one system," said director Shinji Mikami on Resident Evil's move to Nintendo's console. "Therefore the series will be GameCube exclusive."
"From now on, games aren't limited to graphics only -- a balance must be reached between fun gameplay and graphic enjoyment," he continued. "I feel if it isn't like this, the media itself will be endangered. Among game systems focused on graphics, we're aiming to show Nintendo's philosophy of 'fun games.'"
A lot of questions have arisen regarding the details of Resident Evil's GameCube exclusivity. A Capcom spokesperson recently added to Mikami's comments: "Currently, yes, we are exclusive to Nintendo. The deal will certainly last through the announced projects and probably longer."

"If you want to play a Resident Evil game, you will have to do it on the GameCube," a Capcom spokesperson said.
Ya, unless you want to play 3 of the 5 games that are direct ports.

70% of RE 1 has been redone, so I hardly think it's going to be the same game.
RE 0 and 4 are brand new.

The first RE is one of the best games I have ever played. I have not played it in over 2 years though. I would love to play it again 'for the first time' on my Cube.
