Max Payne is way too short!!!
I decided the other night to sit down and play Max Payne on my XBOX. I couldn't believe how quick that game went, maybe 12 hours total. There's no replay value to it. The only thing that gets unlocked at the end is the levels harder or with time limits. Really wish there was more to this game. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game. It's just one of those, when you're done, it's a waste to have in your game library. I wish it was like Halo which has death matches at least.

I disagree I love replaying levels and trying not to get hit by using bullet time, and various other tactics. Also on the pc they are making mods one problem with buying games on consoles that are on pc.

Multiplayer wouldn't work on Max Payne, since the key to survival is the bullet time and shootdodging.
After you beat the normal mode, go back and do the hardest setting. It is hella harder and much more fun. Plus, beating the hardest mode give you one last challenge level, which took me a long time to figure out how to beat it (I'm still not sure how I did it!).
Sure, it's short, but it's sweeeeet. Especially in DD 5.1.

12 hours is a long time if you think about it. Especially in this game because not once did I feel like I was doing something repetitive.

I pretty much agree with this though. After the first play through I had had enough of the game. I actually sold it on Ebay like a week after I got it. The bidder never payed though so I still have it. Maybe I will play through it again at some point.

That sucks, because at least on the PC verison you could create your own levels. That was really cool, but it's hard because if you don't create all the textures it comes out crapy. I think they should have put a, not very indepth, scene creater on the XBOX, then it would be great to play agian!

I think 12 hours is fairly short for a game. It took me at least 30 (probably closer to 40) hours to finish Halo, I wasn't counting though. To be honest, I think I completed Max Payne in less than 12 hours, I'm just estimating.

There is another thread about this around the time the game was launched. I decided then, after finding out there was no multiplay, bots, or level creater, that it is a rental at best.
Yes the game absolutely rocks and I had such a blast playing it, but it is not worth $50. Only because of 'replayability'.
