super monkey ball end credits

first off, i think super monkey ball is one the best games i've played in awhile. its sheer madness. this is how i remember playing games as a kid. sitting to close to the tv, my palms being all sweaty, and yelling violently when i die.
ok on to the point
what is the purpose of the end credits scene? when you beat a level, beginner, expert, or whathaveyou, you have to collect bananas as the credits fall. at the end you get a monkey level. what is it? just a name? an actual level somewhere?

at the end of the game, if you beat the game on any mode beginner advanced or expert there is a level with bananas. you are suppose to get as many bananas has the credits fall. if you hit any of the letters u lose 10 points. once you cross the goal your monkey level apprears i think mine was lymer or something
what does this mean? or it doesnt mean anything?

Oh! I wasn't sure what you meant by monkey level. I don't know how the rankings go. Does anybody else know?

I know what you are talking about, but I don't know what it means either. I don't remember what my level is, but so far it doesn't appear to mean anything. Does anyone know?

Yeah its pretty close to the Shoot-the-end-credits thing on SSB:M. I dont think there is a point.

They are both really annoying and I wish there was an option to skip em.

SSB:M - Hit start and it blazes through them in about 7-10 seconds.

SMB - Hit "A" at any time to skip them. I think you do have to wade through them the first time you beat a skill level, though.

I don't think you ever have to wait at all. My sister was the first to beat Beginner and she did all the credits willingly, but I was the first to beat Advanced and I skipped it right away.
