i've been playing football games since i was a young buck with an atari 2600 and have been playing through just about every system that ever came out. i just found a great article that takes you through the development history of computer football. it was a nice little trip back in time.

Tecmo Super Bowl was the best football game of all time, for any system.

I agree. I think the incarnation I liked best was just called Tecmo Bowl though. I should go rummage through my closet and check.

i think 4th and inches, for the commodore 64 was the first football game that i really got addicted too. my friends and i would play it for hours at a time. after that i think tecmo bowl was he next big step up. i just picked up a nintendo emulator and started playing again after reading the article.
