racing games

OK, given that all racing games are about the same (If you want to argue this point, then start another thread), which racing game has the best/most pumped soundtrack? I am eagerly awaiting the releast of Lotus challenge mainly because hybrid is doing the soundtrack.

GT3 had a lot of great tracks. GT2 was great just for Dragula. Wave Race: Blue Storm has some nice traditional video game tunes. Mario Kart Super Circuit for the GBA sounds great too. Beetle Adventure Racing for the N64 had some awesome tunes too.

all racing games are about the same
I couldn't disagree more.

The only thing about GT3 is that you can't adjust the volume for the BGM, so it usually gets drowned out by all of the other in-game sound effects. The only way to clearly hear the music would be to turn off the SFX.

Good point. It never bothered me that much though -- only when Snoop's song was playing because I couldn't hear that one hardly at all.

all racing games are about the same

yeah, and all RPG's are about the same
All fighting games are about the same
etc etc.

SOOOOO WRONG

anyhow. My gripe with some racing games is they try to take themselves to realistic. I want to drive in a virtual world without the limits I have in this world. thus. I would like to make a turn without worring if I am going to flip or skid off the road.
