Need advice on finding "bonus weapons" on Rogue Leader


I don't want you to flat out tell me...

just point me in the right direction


Are there bonus weapons on each mission?


What do they look like?

How can I keep track of the weapons I collect?


Did I hear you can get the "Slave 1" as a playable craft?

Any tips for getting medals? (like flying techniques, shooting techniques, etc,etc)?

Yes there are bonus weapons on all the levels. And you are not finding them unless you are specifically told where to find them, cause the upgrade is a small, hard to see, greyish cone that blends in with everything.

If you want specific directions I will give them, but otherwise there really is no pointing you in the right direction if you get my drift.

And yes the Slave I is a playable secret craft, and it sucks. Sucky shields, sucky lasers, slow as hell, and cant turn. But the missles it has can take out 5 tie fighters a shot if you have the upgrade.

And how can I keep track and see the bonus weapons I DO have?



So, everyone who found the bonus weapons was told WHERE to get them?

And, any tipe for helping me get the edge in getting medals? I am having a hard time with Hoth getting the Gold

5 minutes? that is tough to do if you have to kill as many enemies as they want

I've found 3 or 4 of them so far, on my own. Just blow stuff up, or look in suspicious places where stuff might be hidden.

Just searching for them is pretty difficult, on some (like Death Star Attack) its hard to find them even after youre told where they are. For instace whre you are now in the Hoth Level the upgrade is

You really need at least advanced sheilds and advanced lasers for the medal requirements. Homing torps are a major plus as well. For Hoth if you have the homing torps it shaves major time off, plus if you pound on the AT-ATs with your lasers between passes it bumps your accuracy so you can be a little more aggressive taking out the bombers in the last part.

Theres no guide thats gonna help with the first one, some say turn left some say go straight. Its just a small white cone on the surface next to a turret. PAIN IN THE ASS!!! The bad thing is thats its the Advanced Shields and its one of the most important upgrades. The other one you kinda need you got in Hoth, the Advanced Lasers. You just gotta keep looking in Death Star Attack though, I swear its like a needle in a haystack.

Once you get it you still have to complete the mission, which was driving me nuts on Bespin because to get it you have to take out some of the gas containers youre protecting. Not much margin for error.

You get an upgrade and it automatically upgrades all the ships that can use it. On the craft select screen it will reflect the change.

On the Death Star level, right before you are supposed to fight the Ties, fly close to the surface and veer to the left. I got that advice on this board and it worked.

How are you guys getting enough kills on the Hoth board for the Gold Medal

I always fall 10 or 11 short

The Probe droids count. Also tell your wingmen to flee before the bombers come. I tell them to flee in the first part too so they wont steal my kill on the AT-STs either. Problem is when I get enough kills I go over the time requirement.

Shooting stormtroopers on Hoth is a great way to get the required number of kills. They like to run around in groups and make themselves easy targets.

Wrongo.... The Storm Troopers don;t count as kills. Just - percentage

Liver&Onions is right. Troopers dont count as kills. Anything that doesnt show up as a red dot on your radar isnt considered an enemy kill. Same thing with the Star Destroyers, only certain spots on the SDs count as a kill, meaning you cant do the accuracy booster thing by blasting them like you can with the AT-ATs.

I think I got the advanced cluster missles already (Prisoners of the Maw)

Some levels, when I see the default (and only craft) it lists "advanced x" "advanced y", but if it does not have other weapons, it will not tell me if thsoe upgrades are avilable on other ships...

and how about some more tips for Hoth...

I either get OVER time and enough kills..

or GOOD time, and not enough kills..

To check the secondary weapons for upgrades you have to go into the hanger and check. You wont see the cluster upgrade unless you have a ship that uses it for its secondary weapon. I think the only ones that use it are the Slave and Vaders Intercept. I could be wrong though.

Im in the exact same situation in Hoth, trying to balance out the Time and Kill requirements. Breezed right through the Silver requirements but the gold is 5 minutes and 43 kills.
You cant die either so crashing to get more torps wont help like in Endor.

The Death Star Escape Gold needs to be done in a minute twenty seconds without dying. Yeah right.
