Is NBA Live 2002 coming to the GC?

I thought I saw this as a future dated title, but I can't find it listed with any GC info at all anymore. I went to the EA site, and they don't have it there either. If it is not coming out on the GC, I will end up getting the Courtside game, which is not too appealing at this point.

That's a negative.

But the Cube does get NBA2k2. Standard multi-console release.

They should, maybe they could get it right on the third try. Bah! WTF, you'd think incorporating the new zone rules would be the LEAST we could expect.

Be glad for NBA2k2, hands down the best basketball sim. The only sport EA still owns is hockey.

NBA2k2 is better trust me. Sega makes the best sports games hands down!! I have NBA2K2 for my dreamcast and I absolutly love it, just like the previous Sega NBA games, 2k & 2k1. You don't get any better than this!

NBA Live 2002 sucks, so you're not missing anything. Wait for NBA 2K2 in Feb. I've played the DC version and it's awesome. The GC version should be even better since they're not rushing the port, it ought to have improved graphics.

Actually, all versions of NBA 2K2 comes out in the same time. Late March or Early April.

I'm enjoying the Dreamcast version now.

I would love to have the Gamecube version sooner as well though. Don't waste your money on Live 2002 though. After playing NBA2K2, Live doesn't even compare.

Not to overstate the point, but based on the XBox version of NBA Live 2002 I would absolutely avoid it at all costs. One of the worst basketball games I've ever played. The gameplay was all over the board and scoring was dreadfully easy, didn't even enjoy the graphics personally. Can't wait for NBA 2k2, however apparently Microsoft is really amping up their first entry into the basketball arena with Inside Drive. But since it isn't coming with a franchise mode I'll be passing and taking the sure thing with NBA 2k2.

I second that thought.

I just finished playing it. I got frustrated with not only the game play but the (lack of) speed in the game. Will probably put it up for trade and get some DVDs in its place.

I can't wait to see how MS's take on basketball turns out. I know ppl are bitching about the lack of a GM mode, but I don't care. I like season modes, actual gameplay. GM modes with trading and the like gets boring for me, the other team never accepts my trade unless I stack the deal.
