IGN has a review here: http://ps2.ign.com/reviews/16450.html
I watched a friend of mine play it briefly. It's pretty cool. It's like a techno version of games like Parappa The Rappa, and Um Jammer Lammy. It's basically a music game that you have to correctly and creatively manipulate your way through to compose the best beats. I didn't play it but it looked more appealing than those other music games. You basically start a level making your way down a tunnel as a "weird worm thingie" and have to manuver through it by hitting several marks. Do it right and you unlock that song, then you enter a freestyle section that let's you either scrath on the turntable with the left analog stick or grind on the axe with the right analog.
It seemed pretty cool, but I never had a chance to play it. I don't know if I'd buy it since I'm not into music making games, but I may check it out if I find it cheap or used. The music is great. Ranging from techno synth beats to, DJ, Dance, Trance, and Rave styles. Good stuff if you're into it.

thanks for the replies, I downloaded some movies and it looks pretty cool. Although, from the movies I have no idea on how to play the game or whats going on in it, but the colors and shapes are sweet, that review was a pretty good one so I'm gonna try and rent it if the stores around here ever get it

I bought the game (actually I bought Extreme G3 for 15.99 and exchanged it for Frequency at Walmart
). I enjoy it quite a bit, it's definitely challenging, but it doesn't take long to get used to. If you ever played Beatmania it's along the same lines. Press the buttons correctly and you'll play the music correctly. But what's new is you have to switch between the various tracks of the song. So once you do the button string for the drums correctly, you switch to the bass and so on. I recommend it.
