I need some help with Halo.

I'm in the level where I just "watched" a fellow marine's actions through some sort of memory chip, and am supposed to escape. I've fought my way through to the place filled with the weird organic looking guys to where a lift is, and I pushed the button to call the lift, but it never came. Where am I supposed to go from here?

That isn't the right lift. You have to go on from there -- can't remember the exact direction. Basically, just wander around shooting everything till you come to a room with a burning barrier in one corner -- climb up on it and onto the next level. You'll come across a couple other elevators on the way, but you'll only be able to use the last one.

Xbox.ign.com's halo guide has a complete walkthrough that's a lot more detailed than what I could say -- coming 2 weeks after I played that section of the game.

Youre about to hit the "flood". Heh. All hells about to break loose.
Your palms will sweat.

Anyways find the door that they showed you in the cut scene and go in.
Heh heh heh.

Uh-oh... gotta get there after RAW... At first I wasn't really liking Halo, but it's starting to grow on me! I just wish I could play the earlier levels on Legendary while keeping my cirrent checkpoint save .

Frigging heck! I'm in the library, following some annoyingly calm talking orb around about 45837948034587906923576 enemies. Is there something special one is supposed to do to make it through the TEN (according to wanna-be-"bit") of these chambers?!

I just gotta say, "I LOVE this game!!!!"

The only FPS I have had any experience with was the Half-Life demo a week or so ago. I thought that was really cool and it was on my little 15" monitor. But yesterday my xbox and Halo finally came. I hooked that baby up to our 34" via s-video and dolby surround (yeah I know not as great as 5.1 and component blah, blah, blah....) and I am awed!!! This game definitely ROCKS!

It's a great time to be entering the world of FPS gaming!

On the 'Heroic' difficulty setting, you can pick them off until they stop respawning. Some have said that you can just run through, not to stop and look back, but whenever I try this method I end up running into even more Flood and that always spelled 'Game Over'.

I'm going to try to do this on 'Legendary' setting this weekend.
If anyone has any advice on Legendary in the Library level, list it here.

I don't think this level is that hard. Just have the shotgun constantly busy.
