FGN Online is Dead
FGN Online is shutting down. I knew something was up as they had quit updating several days before Thanksgiving and still hadn't resumed updates as of yesterday. Today the site was updated with some posts by writers and editors saying that the site was being shut down because it was no longer turning a profit. I'm pretty dissappointed as I thought it was one of the more infomative video game news sites, and generally got more scoops that anyone else as a result of updating at 9 a.m. EST and 9 a.m. PST rather than updating at night.

I was just there the other day and noticed they hadn't updated in 2 weeks and thought maybe they were taking an extended vacation. Pretty depressing. IGN.com is making it seem like they are headed in the same direction with their advertisement assault. I recently subscribed to IGN Insider though.

Cornfed - You actually subscribed to that? That's unfortunate. Sure they provide a lot of information, but all of that information should be free.
All I've got to say is that in a few months you won't even be going to IGN anymore, since Videogametalk is going to be the preferred video game site of all of our fellow DVD Talkers
