GCN and XBOX processor info

A friend and I have a bet going on about how many bits the XBOX and GCN processors are. I say the XBOX is a 32 bit processor (Pentium 3) and the GCN is a 128 bit processor. He insists that the XBOX has a 128 bit processor. Could anybody help me out. Also does anyone know a web site that shows the specs for both processors as my friend will not believe me if I am correct.

I think the larger point is that it's definitely time to stop arguing about the "bits" of a system.

Bits are a completely worthless way of judging a system now. The X-Box chip is the same as a P3 except it has less cache, thus its 32-bit.

Bits are meaningless with todays systems.

Arguing about hardware specs has always been pointless since its the software that sells systems.

Basically its this...

XBox:Intel Pentium III::GCN:IBM Apple G3-4

Another Microsoft v. Apple war is brewing!

(There were rumors at one time that Apple was going to make a emulator and manufacture USB controller so GameCube games could be played on a G3/G4... but they were only rumors.)

MPU = Custom IBM Power PC "Gekko"

The "Gekko" is a derivative of the Power PC 750 chip, manufactured by IBM. The 750 chip is also the basis of the Apple G4... FYI.
