Mine has my name as well. I think the xbox must have accessed a saved game file or something.

It's probably picking up your name from there, but I don't know for sure. Like I stated in an earlier post, it's a "mystery" name.

I've heard that DOA 3 somehow changes the name. Perhaps when you enter your name by beating some record.

That's what I've read too. I wish I could give more concrete evidence but I don't enjoy fighting games (not anymore at least)so I've never tried.
