a wild idea

Sony and Nintendo merge and kick Microsoft's ass back into the buggy OS industry. Maybe then Microsoft will have the time to concentrate their efforts on fixing their damn OS. In the meantime we can play Zelda, Mario, GT3 and Silent Hill 2 all in one easy to afford console that Sony and Nintendo could reap the rewards from together. And the world would live happily ever after.

It's fun to dream, isn't it?

My dream consists of a new Metal Gear game, every single day, all of the same high quality. La la la

How about Sega and Nintendo merge and kick Sony's ass back into the home audio/video industry. Maybe then Sony will have the time to concentrate their efforts on fixing their crappy electronics. They're supposed to make TVs and CD players, not design video games and consoles.

If Sony and Nintendo joined together and there was only one console on the market it would not be affordable.

If there is no competition they can charge whatever they want.

The console would probably be $500 and the games would probably be $75 each.

No thanks. I will take competition anyday.
