I just skimmed some of gamespots review(trying to miss the spoilers) and they were absolutely floored by the game, gave it a 9.6. After reading it I really really really want to play it.

I'm planning on picking it up, anyone know any discounts ?
I think I'll be using that $5.00 off that edstein posted (thanks!) but is there something better?

wish I didn't have so much work this week.....

EB is doing a trade in three get it free deal on this one, and you also get the hint book for free on top of that.

Three PS2 games (not worth it), or three of any game (definately worth it!)?

Agreed. I don't care how good it is, you could probably get at least $80 or $90 for three PS2 games on Half.com.

Stupid trade-in deals bad!

Funcoland was nice enough to call me last night and I picked the game up. I still have another copy coming from EB.com that I will sell probably.

I won't get mine until my TRU order ships when the Winter JamPack comes out. Oh well, it'll give me something to do over the holidays. I've got Civilization keeping me busy right now.

Great game, so far. But I keep getting killed, which I guess is a good thing, in a way.

Wow, this game is badass! There are so many different actions Snake can do in it, like hang off of rails, climb boxes, among other things. And that opening was just incredible, I thought.

I just hope the story is as good as MGS for the PS.

I guess you aren't too far into the game if you're still calling your character "Snake" .

cartman, that's a little close, buddy. Gotta keep that a big surprise.

Please, everyone, avoid ALL spoilers for this game. You'll definitely be glad you did. Also, avoid the instruction manual like the plague, too, as it also gives away a huge spoiler.

As far as the story goes, it's definitely up there with the first, and in my opinion, surpasses it. I'm about 10 hours into the game and can't put it down. It's everything I had hoped it would be, and much much more.

I got the shipping confirmation today. You might want to email them if they didn't ship it yet. They're getting careless with preorders. I had to email them to basically tell them to ship a CD I had preordered (which had been released several days before). Ridiculous ...

Finally got the cash to go out and pick this title up! Excellent game, I'm only about an hour into it but its already worth the money (I used the $5 off coupon)! Kinda wish they had a VR training mode though so I could figure out how to use the new moves. But I can do some of them like the ducking out behind wall shoot, then hide. Thats my favorite one
