I think I am heading out to BB around 5 or 6 on the 18th for the Game Cube. I have never done anything like this, and I actually made fun of the people at BB last year who waited outside all night long for the PS2. I figure I can head by the local breakfast restaurant, pick up a biscuit, take a book and a chair and just hang out. But, what if the biscuit makes me have to use the restroom? My local BB does not have an outdoor crapper, which means that I would have to leave and comeback, and that would be too dangerous. Ok, so the biscuit idea is scrapped. If you get there while it is still dark, then you will freeze outside as well. Oh the drama, but I would not trade it for anything!

It seems my best hope is the Wal-Mart by my work, they start sell Xbox at midnight, so i'll be lurking around in there about 10pm.

Although, I think Circuit City might be a good shot since they are requiring a bundled purchase of sorts(Xbox, controller, 2 games w/free strategy guides) for $439.99. The bundling may turn off some people so they may have some to go around.

9 or 10 p.m. at my local wal-mart, then try 3 other walmarts in smaller towns that are open 24hrs within an hours drive. If I have no luck, I'll hit toys r us or Circuit City Sunday morning.

I'm fairly confident I'll get one at the local Wal-mart. They showed me an inventory that said they were getting 60 GCs (and 28 X-boxes), so I don't think I'll have a problem. The lady said she figured the GC's would last until Sunday afternoon.

Also the FYE (formerly Camelot Music) here is selling them as soon as they get them, but they only get shipments on Mon. and Thurs evenings and figure that they won't get any GC's until at least Monday. He said there was a chance they'd get some thursday, but it was pretty small. I'll still call them Thurs. evening or Fri. morning and check.

Lastly, if you're willing to get screwed out of some money, KB will be selling a rip-off bundle, that likely won't sell out as fast as the other places. It's $396.9x for a GC and any 3 in stock games. No extra controller, no memory card, no books, just the GC and 3 games. That's a rip off since the MSRP of the GC and 3 games is around $350. But if you want one bad enough, it's an option. There's no way I'm doing it as I already bought Madden, and my fiance probably got me Rogue Leader for my B-day tomorrow.

I pre-ordered my xbox from fye (formerly camelot music), but I won't be getting off work till 5 PM. They damn well better not sell my order.
