The prices at www.simplygames.com seem good

I will probably be getting
Evil Twin
Shenmue II
Headhunter (2 disc)
I have never imported games for any platform but these games are simply must haves for a DC lover.

Stuck

Can anyone help? I'm on disc 2 below deck on the queen of hearts ship. I found Greywolf (or whatever his name is- the leader of the Wolf Pack) he's dead in a tube and now, I don't know what to do. The game still has a objective of finding him hilighted and also I have to find The Don. Can you point me in the right direction?

99% of the time, bootlegs should be frowned upon, but as of late, SEGA has abandoned the US market(which, in all fairness, is about dead), and thus made bootlegs our only way to play these games....I usually dont' like bootleggers, but in this case, I agree with them. If SEGA abandoned us, why should we help them?

Whoa. While it's true that Sega has screwed us over, bootlegs are NOT the only option. Imported games will play fine on the US Dreamcast with the help of a boot disc. There are many kinds available (some you can even download off the net and burn yourself), and I think the Gameshark CDX will work as well. Electronics Boutique is even stocking Shenmue II (with boot disc) at their retail stores (not sure about any other titles).
PAL is not an issue. As long as the boot disc boots into NTSC, the game will run fine.

Yes, it's inconvenient to track down an import copy, but honestly, it's not like they stock the bootlegs at Wal-Mart, either.

Shenmue II and Headhunter both recognize NTSC upon boot up no problems there.

DC-X cd or Gameshark work as boot discs, also Utopia 1.1 can be found for free on the net. Newer DCs won't read cdrs so check the date on the bottom of your unit before using Utopia. Jun 2001 is the cutoff (I think)

After playing these two titles I really am numb towards Sega these both qualify as truly class AA titles and would have sold well in the states. The company that produces some of the best titles in the business also knows how to sink their own ship, as they have proven time and time again.

It's extremely inconvenient to go order an import copy, and then pay $10-$15 more for it then I would have here.

comes to around $45 per game for headhunter (2gdrom) and Shen II (4gdrom) shipped. No boot disc though they should have Rez, and Ninety Mins as well those look cool. If you have no boot disc buy Shen II from www.ebgames.com and then get Headhunter and some other title from gameplay. I know Headhunter and Shen II work fine on US DC but can't vouch for other games.

Seems as if Sega was paid off to abandon the DC and port its best titles over to the other consoles as exclusives (rumor has it that Headhunter will be a PS2 title), Shen II X-Box. I have no problem paying the same for a first run import title shipped as I would in the States for it. As long as it plays properly.

Inconvenient, yes.
But as was pointed out, the prices are not any more than they would be here. Also, you're getting the complete game, not a 95% rip. And, of course, it's legal (not that that anyone here seems to care. Cyber-piracy seems so innocent when you don't get caught, doesn't it?)

Besides, I don't consider importing supporting Sega so much as it is supporting the Dreamcast. Screw PS2 & X-Box. They're overpriced and underwhelming. I'll play the games on the system they were made for.
