Devil May Cry question
Hey,
I'm looking to pick this game up but have a question about the controls. I really don't like the movement controls of the RE series. Does this game use the analog stick for movement like MGS does? This game looks fun but if the controls are like traditional Capcom action games I'll have to pass. Please let me know.

The only similarity to Resident Evil (besides that it started life as a RE game) is that the camera angles are somewhat fixed. The game uses a cartesian (eg. MGS) control system as opposed to polar (RE). So yes, you should get it.

Thanks a bunch. I had asked this question at another board and was ignored. Silly of me not to come here first. I'm glad to hear they changed thier movement controls. I can only hope they continue this for future games. Thanks again for the info.

The control is the highlight of the game. It's very intuitive and responsive. The only problem is that sometimes the camera view will change and you'll find yourself moving in the wrong direction. Still it's not much aof a problem. I can't stand RE simply because of that lame-ass control system. People aren't cars, so they shouldn't move like them (especially when trying to run away from zombies!). I'm fine with the GC getting RE4 exclusively as long as the PS2 keeps getting DMC games (I hope the next one is a little easier, though)
