What happened to Nintendo's tradition??
Nintendo has always had the tradition of relesinga new system with a Mario game. What are they doing? The way things are looking now, I think I'll be holding off on buying the GC until I see some decent games come around, what with the push-backs and all. So what happened to the tradition??

I think Shigeru has been too busy overseeing the launch to really put any effort into producing a new Mario title. He's also overseeing the Metroid game and that Pickimin game, so I think he probably got too wrapped up in that. I'm sad too, because I'd buy the GC in a flash if there was a mario game at launch. Now I'm waiting until RE: 0 or the new mario game. whichever comes first.

I wouldn't really call it a tradition. More like a coincedence.
The Game Boy was released with a Tetris pack-in. If I remember correctly, Mario Land didn't arrive for a few months after the system was released...and look what happened to the Game Boy!!

They opted for a new Luigi game, al beit the game play isn't typical Mario. I really couldn't care less as the launch line up looks great to me. Luigi, Wave Race, Rogue Leader, and Smash Bros. all look great.

You can scratch Rogue Leader off the launch title list there. It's been pushed back to hopefully before the end of the year.

"I know you're going to get this question a lot, but, is Rogue Leader still scheduled for launch date, November 18th?"
The Rogue Leader team replied:
"Absolutely, positively. Rogue leader will be on shelf the day the hardware is in the stores."

I think it was delayed to Nov. 18th and then the GameCube was delayed...sorry for the misinformation. I read a lot and things get jumbled
.
However, this will not make me buy a GC quite yet anyway, although I will in the future.
