GBA system availability

Everywhere I go, I can't find a GBA, except at EB, where those jerks won't sell anything unless it's bundled. Is there any store that's continually stocked? I've been asking for a GBA at the same stores since it came out. Are they being snatched up before they I can get one, or are retailors just not selling them??

Try a Frye's or Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart..

NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER shop at EB/Game Stop.. they are the epitime of garbage video game retailers. I'd like to bomb every Game Stop in exsistance. Thank you drive through.

I agree with Pixy on both counts. The local Best Buy, Target, and Wal-Mart all have GBA's in stock and have for months, on a regular basis. I also avoid the local Babbage's--they are usually overpriced (many of the new PS2 games are usually $5 more ($54.99) than you can find them anywhere else).

Also try a Toys R Us, if you've got one nearby.

thanks. I just bought a glacier GBA at Babbages. I was going to get it at EB, but he said I had to put down $10 extra for a 1 yr warrenty. So I went to Babbages, and the guy there said that GBA comes with a 2 yr Nintendo warrenty, no extra cost!! I also reserved MArio Kart, still waiting for some must-have games, e.g. Sonic, Doom, Spyro. My Wal-Mart, and K-MArt have been sold out for a while.

Slightly off topic, but sorta not, while EB and it's ilk rip you on the games, one thing I've noticed around here is the used DVDs they carry now. I've been able to find a few good deals, so don't avoid them altogether.

Particularly not if you have some extra DVDs to get rid of - they will give you store credit for them, usually $4 - $10 depending on popularity and condition. Great for freebie DVDs that you didn't really want to begin with I have about $100 in store credit there right now, saving it to put towards a GameCube. If they try to screw me with a bundle that I don't want I'll just buy it somewhere else and use the credit for games/accessories.

I have totally written off EB and Gamestop as places to get games. The overpricing and bundles have gotten way out of hand. I have two GBAs right now and I bought both at Target.
