What Atari 2600 game did you master

I don't mean what game did you manage to beat or just do well with, I mean what game were you just unstoppable?

For me it was Spider Fighter. I could go through level after high speed level without dying. I should break it out and see if I still have the ability.

I used to be awesome at River Raid and ummm... GORF. I was pretty good at that one where you draw the lines to fill up the screen and avoid the electricity and lightning too, can't remember the name, something like PAX.... oh, and Zaxxon I know there were a few others, but these are the ones I can remember playing for so long and getting to levels that were so lightning quick that it's a wonder anyone would have a chance.

Pretty much all the ones that I had. I've still got 10 games and play a few of them enough to still have them mastered; Kaboom, Adventure, Pitfall.

Adventure, Frogger, PacMan, Defender.

I sold my 2600 in a garage sale w/7-8 games for $10 about two years ago!

Ahhh.. the memories... I remember paying a deposit @ Freds (store) for PacMan & getting the call that it came in!!! I never ran 3 miles faster in my life!

Sorry to tell you this, but you got ripped off

That would get you anywhere from $30 to $50+ on eBay now

Defender - I got to the point that I had hundreds of free lives and I could just leave it running while I ate dinner and come back and still be able to play. My score was in the gazillions and the game lasted for 3 days straight before my dad turned it off... I think when he turned it off - that's when I got my first ulcer.

I remember Asteroids, Defender, and Amidar were all games where I could play infinitely without losing. Superman I could beat in under a minute once you knew where everything was.

I don't remember the game, but you were in a space ship and you had to move over the 3 target and blast them with a beam before they got you, then on to the next 3.... Laserblast??? oh well... I remember playing that game until I finally reached some magical score that if you took your picture with the screenshot, you were suppost to get a T-Shirt. My mom took the picture, but I don't remember ever getting my T-Shirt...

I also was block champion on the Combat Air-Air battles.

weeeeeeee.... to be 11 again

Yeah, that was Laser Blast. We had that game also. I hated it so I never played it regularly. When I did play it, though, I had it mastered.

I thought there was a pong type game.... kinda like Combat in that it had 20 different mini-games like basketball, volleyball, soccer, etc...

Yar's Revenge
Demon Attack

One game I never mastered was the Indiana Jones game. One day I am going to take the time to load that up again and beat it. The whole game seemed very surreal.

I was undefeated in Ice Hockey, and that is after years of playing it.
