You're nuts if you think the absence of Squaresoft, Taito, Capcom, Atari, and Kodensha will make any difference whatsoever.
We'll see about that. Look at how Sony perform with the aid of Squaresoft. Final Fantasy, does it ring a bell ? Don't be surprised if you'll see in the news: "X box begging Squaresoft for a piece of action." ;)

You people are complete fools if you think the X-Box will be a failure. I'll bet you all end up owning one! HAHAHA... j/k
Ja, maybe.... $ 300 for a piece of that equipment... hmmm.... Let's see if I could hit the number of the lottery I've bought.

I would venture a guess that Capcom's absence would be felt more than Squaresoft since Capcom has produced lots of great games that have sold heaps while Squaresoft's pretty much only claim to fame is the Final Fantasy franchise. The movie tanked, so I don't see this being the huge hit that you do. Perhaps it's just my faulty perception. You can't deny the list of developers I've posted as being a huge advantage for Microsoft - Squaresoft and Capcom or not. Of course, "time will tell" and "we'll see" are the only things we know for sure about all this. :)

That's a pretty bold statement. Let's all try to remember this and count up the games at the end of the year. I seriously SERIOUSLY doubt all of the games you listed will be completed and sold for the X-box by the end of 2002. Just a difference of opinion.

And I'm sorry, Final Fantasy IS a big hit, regardless of the movie's performance, and it's a total system seller.

You're probably right about the number of games Nintendo has - I read some bad info on what titles Gamecube would have out. It looks like they might have more than I thought they would. As for Final Fantasy I don't see anywhere that says they are developing the next one for Gamecube... are they? Or is it just for Sony? And - X-box will still have heaps of great games by 2002. Their release schedule seems to have more on it than Nintendo's anyway.

That's the number of games the system is launching with in Japan. Which isn't *quite* as stupid as it sounds, since they won't be competing with the X-Box right off the bat.

That's what I must've read - thanks - I thought I was going crazy.
