Question about GBA

Is there any particular reason why Nintendo did not put in the IR output that was in the Game Boy Color? I assume it was because of cost and space. IMHO I think it is a neat device that they should have kept.

And is anyone else at least a little bit disappointed that the GBA is made in China instead of Japan?

I think not to many people used that feature on the GBC (I never did) so Nintendo didn't include it with GBA. My GBC was also made in China and it has never given me any problems. Xbox is going to be made in Mexico.

not to say that the GBA will give any problems, im sure nintendo put strict regulations on their factories but nintendo was one of the few electronic companies that still made everything in Japan. Xbox+Bill Gates+Mexico=NO! looks like Billy is trying to squeez every dollar, or Mexican Peso out of the Xbox as he can.

Is the GBA supposed to have little vertical lines on the screen?? Whenever I have it it bright light, at the right angle, you can see little vertical lines on the screen.

I think Nintendo droped the IR because it was useless nothing used it and it was dumb you had to have the GBC really close without moving them allot.

did you really have to have it close? i think one game mission impossible could actually make the game boy function as a limited tv remote. i thought that was a neat gimmick. and no there should not be any vertical lines.
