KENGO rules.....
Just thought I would let you guys know this fact.
I always love a good Samurai game.

I wondered about this. Bushido Blade was awesome - one good strike and they died - a very realistic fighter. Then Bushido Blade 2 came out and it was a little more over the top and more "arcade"- like. Then Kengo you have energy bars and I couldn't believe how they were driving the original rad concept into the ground. But, i never played it so it could be not as bad as it appeared to be.

I just got this game and, while I love Bushido Blade, this one has the potential to rock!
One thing. Is there any way to actual turn to face your opponent? My guy’s all over the place, like he’s a sightseeing tourist not a combatant. Also, is there any way to control exactly how your swing your sword? Like, could I choose to make the first strike horizontal or behind me? It seems like the NPCs have this ability.
Also: It doesn’t seem like when you “change stance” much happens. Just a clicking noise. Am I hitting the L1,L2,R1,R2 buttons in the wrong combination?
The instruction booklet is very brief, I can’t get to gamefaqs from this terminal and my one at home is down.
That’s why I ask.

Are you talking about the original or the 2nd one (is that even out yet)? I have it but I haven't done much w/ it yet, very confusing game IMHO and so far I'm enjoying Way of the Samurai a lot more

The original. I got it for 12 bucks used.
I really wish Bushido Blade III would come out with graphics of this quality and upgraded controls from the first two, but Kengo is all I have for now. Not that that's bad if there's some way to control it with more finesse than just "slash, slash, slash! Now you slash".

Are you serious? Kengo: Master of Bushido for the ps2? Is that the game you're talking about?
The control in that game made it totally unplayable. I guess it's a difference of opinion.

I found out what I needed in the actual booklet. If you tap X you turn to face the other dude and cut 'im! I guess I skipped that page.
Then you gently tap and sway to scope the lobe. Waddaya mean unplayable controls?
