those are off the top of my head. I haven't played online in a while though.

I play some on-line games. I'm having a hard time deciding whether to get Star Wars Galaxies when it comes out because of the per-month fee. I'm just against per-month fees, but I do understand why they do such a thing. They have to keep the servers up and all that.

Mostly I play single-player. It's how I grew up playing games and really nothing has changed.

I enjoy some of the board games online at the MSN Gaming Zone like Monopoly, Clue and Risk.

I'm really looking forward to Star Wars: Galaxies, hoping it'll be good!

I used to play Half-Life TFC and Diablo online, but I quit not because of any technological constraints, but because of people. There are just too many people out there who, because of their own immaturity or insecurities, feel the uncontrollable need to ruin a game and draw attention to themselves. Also, in the case of TFC, you get people on a team who simply refuse to work together as a team, then complain because they wonder why our team is getting its collective butt kicked. Or they complain because, God forbid, it's like 7 on 5 (we're on the team with 5) and so they start yelling "TEAMS! TEAMS!" Please. Maybe it's because I'm an old-school videogamer, and the bulk of my videogame history didn't offer online gaming, but I just prefer single player games. I'm hoping, though, that companies can tighten up the cheating in future games and come up with other methods to eliminate the things that I feel have made online multiplayer gaming undesirable (at least to me) so far.

DavePack hit the nail on the head. The technology is (finally!) there, albeit not as widespread as I'd like it to be. But the community is still in it's infancy, and as the hordes of script kiddies and l337 h@x0rs make blindingly apparent, it's acting like an infant.

Hopefully, as time progresses, the online gaming community will gain the concepts and practices that allow the offline community to operate, without losing the unprecedented level of free speech the Internet represents. Until then, there's plenty of damn good single player games out now, with no sign of a drought any time soon. Yee-hah!

Nope. Connections too slow (56k) to really compete, plus the fact that my computer's a POS; it freezes for no reason and generally lives up to its title, so, I can't.

Went from playing Unreal to Unreal Tournament. Love those 32 player CTF matches, especially on Face and November.

But, I do hate the few people who seem intent on screwing up other people's fun.

Team jumpers, cheaters and those that simply don't understand the concept of team play(when it applies).

I haven't been playing much latley though because my connection is a crappy 56k, although my gameplay isa actually decent, the time it takes to download user maps and mods can take forever!!

I tried several online games for my PC when I used to game with it Wheel of Time I enjoyed as well as Unreal Tournamet, and Everquest (monthyl$ sux) but 56k limit lag problem kept me from loving it

Anyway peace I love my Dreamcast especially when I am using the modem.

No and never will. Don't have a modem of any kind on my gaming pc. I like my N64 and dreamcast, when my friends come over we hook up 4 controllers and spend a whole night playing games and enjoying company.

Worms World party for Dreamcast has both on-line and 8 player capabilities. I bought it. Play it all the time - it's like a party on disc. Can't see it being as nearly as fun by-myself on-line.

Too bad PC games aren't as versitile as far as multiple players on one machine (except JDKJ- which is a riot).

Nope. I think internet gaming is lame. It's really best for deathmatch FPS's and I don't care for those games. For sports games I want to play with my friends in the same room. I just don't think it's playing online versus annonymous people is any more fun than playing the computer. Outside of sports and fighting games, I manly play one player platformers, adventure games, and RPGs.

I play games you have to pay to play since if filters out most of the immature trash. I play Anarchy Online right now, but I do play Unreal Tournament Tactical Op's every now and then although too many people abuse bugs making it really suck.

I play online games on and off ever few months. At one time i played Xwing vs Tie Fighter, Starcraft and ST:Armada with friends. Got away from online gaming for a bit, played some NFL on DC but the 56k modem strayed me away. Now i started playing Team fortress on my comp and i am kind of hooked :-) But i usually play video games with my younger brother and some friends which is more fun
