How are they different (not aspect)? Do you see one as noticably different than the other, etc? Views, dudes?

It's like Widescreen vs. Pan and Scan. Seriously, you can put your old GB or GBC games in and change the size of the screen by hitting a button to GBA size and it stretches out the horizontal parts. It feels very much more rectangular than square like the old Game Boy. Hopefully that answers your question.

I live in Loserville, population ME! I went to the big city to see one and theirs was broken. I will play one soon. Still loving the PSOne with 5" screen, though.

i was wondering about the screen too, since I've heard a lot of complaints about it. do you need to have good lighting to play?

Yes, you need good lighting. From what I hear there is no good accessory light (I think that is in another thread). It is a bit annoying, but Castlevania more than makes up for the annoyance .

Don't believe the the "no good mini light" contingent, it's a bit exaggerated. I have the GlowGuard and I think it works fine, and people say the Pelican one is even better, so there you have it.

Yeah, I read that thread and saw the Pelican one seems to be quite good. I shall go and get it.
