Does anyone know if Mega Man even has a future? I've always loved this game and played whenever I could, so I'd hate to see it go by the wayside.

There is a new Mega Man game coming out on Playstation if memeory serves. I'm almost positive its part of the X series. X6 maybe? And I also know they are making Mega Man Battle Network for Gameboy Advance.

What's the difference between the X series and the others?

Same exact gameplay. The X series takes place years and years after Mega Man 8.... meaning Dr. Light, Dr. Wiley, the old Mega Man are all dead from old age.

It would be nice if they made a Mega Man 9 that tied both series together. You know: 8, 9, X, X2, X3...

If it came out for GBA, that would be even better! That would convince a lot of people to get one.

I just wated to confirm the existance of Mega Man X 6.
I saw it at E3 and it was running on a PS2. It looked like previous Mega Man Xs only with improved graphics. Mostly 2D but with some 3D special effects.

I don't know how big a fan you are but you can play though Cannon Spike as Megaman.

A Review

There's a MegaMan Fighting game for Neogeo Pocket Color (only import now) -- Rockman Battle and Fighter. Basically a 2d fighting game featuring MM and a bunch of the classic villains.

Interesting. I read a few reviews, but can't find anything offhand.

What about the N64 MM game? Wasn't it 3D? (I haven't played it).

Mega Man 64 is nearly a port of the PS Mega Man Legends game. The added 3D environment doesn't help when you could play much better N64 games (Mario, Banjo, etc.) that are similar.

Capcom is releasing Mega Man Battle Network for the GBA, a action RPG type with turn-based play. (!)
