I just picked it up and havent gotten too far into it, but is is hilarious!
over at planetblackandwhite.com, they have stories of things peoples creatures did. I couldn't stop laughing for the whole time I read them all.

Ya, the AI in the game is amazing, anything you can do you can teach your creature to do.
It takes time to play but it also sucks time out of your life, I was up till 4am playing it last night.

I dunno; the creature thing was really cool for a while, but the game itself just got really boring really fast. That whole "no on-screen displays" idea ended up making the game more unwieldy than they'd probably intended.
I still liked the game for a while, and recognize it's a step forward. But for me (and all my friends who played it) it got really old, really fast. I don't know anyone who played the game more than two weeks before wandering off to something with a bit more gameplay and a bit less tutorial. I mean, an entire village of people who can't even feed themselves effectively or build buildings without being told where they go!?
