DVD Talk Platinum Edition
Anyone else think that either Microsoft or Nintendo will flinch and move their release away from the other?
Seems a bit too close for comfort.
I was helbent on getting an X-Box since many Sega games are coming to it, but now that Phantasy Star Online Ver2 has been announced for GameCube I may have a tough decision.
Then again the general funky look of the GC may lead me back to the Box!

But this is the mentality of the world today. People are already critisizing the controller without even having used it! Nintendo tries to be innovative, unlike Sony or Microsoft (the Dual shock IS a SNES controller and the Xbox thing is identical to the DC with a few extra buttons), and this is what they get.

BTW the price of the Gamecube will be announce next week, on the 23rd I believe. I read an article a couple weeks ago were Nintendo said they would reveal the price in a conference or press release the week after E3. My bet is $199, with an outside shot at $149. It definately won't be any more than $199. They've done everything they can to keep it cheap by making it a games only maching and not forcing us to waste money on a dvd player, hard drive etc.
