I think if the gamecube took big losses on their console and set the MSRP at $99 they could make the Xbox have a tough time for the holidays. Even at $149 it might give them fits.

Just finished watching the live press conference (thank you, http://www.xbox.com!) and I must say I am more stoked than ever.
Some of those games looked incredible even on my choppy broadband connection--I can't wait to see the better movies that hit the net.
One of the big surprises? The sound. Halo and Nascar Heat sounded awesome!
How bout Peter Moore of Sega coming out to mention Sega's involvement in future online playable titles? Coming next year--2K3 versions of NFL, NBA, WSB, and NCAA Football (!) all playable online!!!
Nov. 8 will NOT get here fast enough.

I don't know if my posts are still around, but as I've mentioned before, Sony intimidated a lot of retailers into pulling all X-Box/Nintendo pre-orders for most of this spring. I don't know if things have changed yet, but I do know you can pre-order one at Camelot Music (Sam Goody?), which is what I did in March.
