I'm considering importing a GBA this week so i don't have to wait an entire month after the american launch to get the milky pink clear one. But does anyone know if there is much japanese in the GBA itself? Say setup menues or anything like that that could end up causing me problems?

Hello all, my wife just paid an unholy amount for one of the special Pokemon editions from Japan. We weren't able to get a game, but it plays our American games just fine. The old black and white ones get the 4 color treatment as usual, and since the GBA screen is a widescreen, there's a stretch mode for the older games but they look like garbage all distorted. Kinda like stretch regular TV stuff on a 16x9 TV would. And it's light as a feather.
