I can't seem to remember what NES game this was, but if you tried to put in the Contra code a screen came up that said "This is not Konami!" I always liked that one.

Along with the Contra code, I know this one too! I remebered it in my head as:

One Got Pee One N K Eight See One D Bootson. Don't know why or how I ever memorized that one, but I did.

I never owned an NES (plenty of friends did, though), but when I read the thread title, I even remembered the ol' Up Up Down Down one from Contra. :)
